Edith McGowan

I am asking all of you to be in constant prayer for my nephew (by marriage) Mike Berryman who is married to my niece, Linda. Late last year Mike began to have problems with his abdomen and finally went to a doctor who diagnosed him with a fatty liver, which isn’t too uncommon these days. But what was abnormal was how much fluid he was retaining. The first time they drew fluid off was 11/13/19 and that was 6.3 liters which of course is a lot. Fast forward to today and they have now drawn off in excess of 10.0395 GALLONS. Mike and Linda will be meeting with a Liver Specialist THIS THURSDAY and in all likelihood Mike is going to be put on a liver transplant list as he has now gotten to where his liver just isn’t functioning. Please be in prayer for them and the Specialist as they meet and make decisions about this and also be in prayer that a new liver can be obtained soon. Mike and Linda work as a TWO income family and now with Mike being off work indefinitely it leaves just Linda supporting the family and that’s really going to be extremely hard for them. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Prayer Requests for our homeless neighbors 10/15/19 O God our Father, your Son lived without a place to lay his head. The inn was crowded and he was born in a barn. Now many of your children live without even a barn over their heads. We lament our hard-heartedness and a cruel system that leaves them stranded on sidewalks and under bridges. We pray for them your sustenance and warm presence. We pray for their relief from raw faces, and pinched fingers and toes. We pray for an increased abundance of heated places they may go for shelter. And we pray in thanksgiving for our own gift of heat and shelter. In our fullness and riches, give us an awareness of the chilly suffering of your homeless children. Save us from frozen hearts and make us a people ready and able to share of our warmth. These things we lift up in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who invite all people out of the cold and into the fire of everlasting fellowship. Amen. Travis-Pray for me and my spiritual, mental and physical health. Danny-Praises that you have kept me safe out here and that I am getting closer (#31) to getting approved for housing. Amanda-Pray for my complete healing and especially my injured leg. James-Pray for all of us who are homeless and that we may be protected and given strength and please also pray for my family. JoAnne-Praises that they found our backpacks and all of our important documents/records. Thank you for all that you do for us. Detroit-Pray for all of us who have so little but are having our stuff stolen. Please also pray for those that are stealing from those who are homeless. Chris-Pray for me and my family and also Cathy. Pray also that the situation in this new camp settles down and that we can learn to live together. Dogman-Pray that we can make it through this day. Victoria and Joe- Thank you Lord for Joe’s successful surgery. Thank you for moving me and Joe to the top of the housing list because of our poor health. Thank you for our new dog “Roscoe”. Daniel-Please pray that I have the strength to go into detox today and then commit to recovery!! Ray-Pray for our safety out here as it is getting more dangerous to be homeless. Tony-Pray that I am able to get into some kind of shelter and that I can keep it. Cliff-Pray for my mother Joyce and that I can get some sort of shelter ASAP. Michael-Pray for the success of my son Tahj. Pray that I can get housing. Ginger-Pray for all of us who are addicted. Pray that we are able to get some trash bags to clean up our camp and keep authorities from evicting us. James-Comfort me in this life of homelessness and for the loss of my son. Please help me get shelter before the winter sets in.

Lori Moody

Lori is in Jewish Louisville. She was shocked by her defibrillator on Sunday morning. She is hoping to return home in the next day or so.

She is on the list for a heart transplant and unfortunately, the University of Louisville no longer does that so she is hoping to move her case to Vanderbilt.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated that God would open the doors necessary for her to be accepted by Vanderbilt and get the process started again.
